Sony Ericsson w350 Walkman

A matchbox... maybe the simplest of all music instruments. This was the basis of the brief. A compact, simple, yet elegant Walkman.

The simple lines of W350 gives a great deal of visual intrigue to the user. This product is both a Walkman and a phone but its main character decidedly is a music player.

The careful execution of push through keys is the “key” to the success of W350. Even though the flip does not include any electronics, it has fully tactile music navigation.

The construction of the product combined with the extraordinary demand persuaded us to create a wide palette of colors. (Special thanks to Color & Material Designer Tiina Karjalainen)
